Dam & Hydropower Division

Dam and Hydropower Division is one the main sectors of Yekom Consulting Engineers with technical competency ranked 1st by Consultants and Contractors Bureau of Management and Planning Organization of Iran (MPO).
The division has rendered quality engineering services in dam and hydropower studies at national and international levels and performs its services through seven sections including:
• Hydrology
• Hydraulics
• Geology & Geotechnics
• Soil Mechanics and Foundation
• Structure
• Hydromechanical & Electrical
• Cost Engineering

In addition to the study, design and supervision of dam and hydropower projects, this division also cooperates with other divisions in the study and design of specific structure schemes.

Major services of this division are:
• Study and design of hydraulic structures
• Foundation and structural design
• Development of hydraulic numerical models
• Design and Supervision of physical models for hydraulic structures
• Geotechnical and geological investigations as well as material engineering
• Development of specific hydroenergy plans

Division not only benefits from the modern up-to-date specialized computer softwares, but also is able to develop static and dynamic analytical programs for specific cases.
The division also provides engineering services for rehabilitation of existing large dam and hydraulic structures, which requires special skills in hydraulics and material engineering.
