Why Project Management Services

Project management is the 4th driving force for the project implementation, which its services chain is provided by Yekom. Fortunately, this activity has been regarded by executive organs of the country during the last 20 years. The rise of development activities on one hand and privatization on the other hand attracted attention of the government towards the project management issue. In the early years of Islamic revolution of Iran, Yekom established the "Land & Water Technical Bureau" for supervision and management of the studies performed by over 15 consultants, contracted by the Ministry of Agriculture. This bureau was active till 1989.
During the boom years after the Iran-Iraq war, the central consultancy for management and supervision of "Irrigation Improvement Project (IPP)", included four sub-projects and financed by the World Bank was given jointly to Yekom and Arcadis Euroconsult from Netherlands by Ministry of Jihad Agriculture (1997-2002)
Improper use of water and its discharge with no use from western borders of the country has always been one of the major challenges that Iranian government encountered since long ago. Among these resources, it can be indicated to Sirvan Border River as one of the most important water resources of the region, for which several projects have been recommended. Due to extent of the area, variation of operational alternatives and number of the under study and construction projects, the management services of "Sirvan Water Transmission project" was given jointly to Mahab Ghodss and Yekom by Iran Water and Power Development Company (a state company affiliated to the Ministry of Energy).
The "Integrated Management" is among the issues has been recently paid attention by the executive agencies. The engineering support services of " Northern Alborz Land and Water Comprehensive Management Project", included four sub-projects and financed by the World Bank was given jointly to Yekom and Arcadis Euroconsult from Netherlands (May 2006-Ongoing) Project management of "Baghan Comprehensive Watershed and Groundwater Management Studies (Jam & Riz)" was also given to Yekom Consulting Engineers by Ministry of Jihad Agriculture (2004-Ongoing).
Considering the abovementioned experiences and relying on twenty years background on project management and coordination, Yekom is able and qualified to accomplish project management services (conduct, management and supervision).
