To achieve the sustainable development and management goals using integrated and systematic approach, Water
Resources Division of Yekom Consulting Engineers performs its services through three sections including:
• Water Resources Management & Planning
• Water Resources Engineering
• Water Baseline Studies
Water Resources division as the main core of Yekom Consulting Engineers was established in 1973. This division has accomplished numerous important water resources development projects and master plans in different watersheds of Iran including water resources integrated management projects (Lake Uromiyeh and Shapur & Dalaki rivers watersheds), common waters and border rivers development plans (Aras and Balha-rud), preparation of water quality models for the reservoirs (Raiesali Delvari and Shahr Bijar dams), environmental studies of water resources development plans (Uromyieh and Jazmoorian watersheds), and project management supporting services (Irrigation Improvement Project, financed by the World Bank).
¬ Water Resources Management & Planning Section
Water resource management and planning is one of the major study fields in this division, which is performed at watershed level to reach water resources integrated management and sustainable development. The main goal of this section is making possible water allocation to all demanding sectors, considering inter-sectoral coordination as well
as long-term policy makings by using new water resources management tools.

¬ Water Resources Engineering Section
Activities of this section cover the engineering services which is required for water resources development projects. Human activities such as dam construction, flood control, establishment of Irrigation and drainage networks, groundwater exploitation, change of land-use, effluent discharge into water bodies, etc have major effects on different ecosystems of the impacted areas. This section is liable to perform water resources quality planning, using field and laboratorial measurements to identify the pollutant sources and prepare computer models for EIA of water resources development projects.

1. Evaluation of water resources in different watersheds

3. Management and exploitation of unconventional water resources
4. Water quality planning
5. Qantitative and qualitative modeling of reservoirs, rivers and lakes
6. Determine ecological demands of natural water bodies

8. Design and implementation of the relevant information systems management and monitoring network
9. R/S/GIS services for the all water resources planning projects
¬ Water Resources Baseline Studies
In water resources development projects, to identify the project area, some studies are required including meteorology, climatology, surface and groundwater resources geology and geotechnics, which are performed in this section. Qualitative and quantitative sampling and measurement of water resources in water monitoring plan is another activity of this section.
